RAILWAY RETURNS

TRAFFIC AND REVENUE. INCREASES IN MOST DEPARTMENTS* (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, November 18. The railway returns for the period April 1 to October 16, 1920, covering seven four-weekly periods, show important increases in nearly all departments. The passengers carried numbered 7,586,002, as against 5,528,043 in the- corresponding period of 1919. The cattle carried numbered 210,305, as against 137,826, and sheep 3,224,517, as against 2,828,500. Timber, minerals, and other goods made a total of 3,339,068 tons, as against 2,937,506 tons for the same period of last year.
