LABOUR FEDERATION’S PROPOSALS. CONFERENCE WITH MR HOOVER. '(By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) "WASHINGTON, November 17. The executive council of the American Federation of Labour is holding a conferecee with Mr Hoover and a group of industrial engineers concerning economic and industrial conditions in the United States, presumably for the purpose of framing a legislative programme, which Congress will be urged to adopt. It opposes laws restricting workmen from stopping work, and also desires to restrict immigration from all parts of the world.
