The not tenders received for the clectrifirafion of the Otsra runnel were as follows: Electrical and Engineering Company. £281.012; English Electric Company, £2fi-1,f>73. The actual figures submitted by the English Electric Company were £3115,167, but included for this sum there was a considerable amount of apparatus not tendered tor by (he National Electric Company. When reduced to the same basis the English Company’s price was more favourable to the extent of £10,1)38. The National Electrical Company submitted seven alternative tenders ranging in price uj> to £337,385.
