CHINESE IMPORTERS’ DIFFICULTIES. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SHANGHAI, June 22. Owing to the drop in the price of silver, Chinese importers are threatened with a loss nf 60,000,000 taels during the fiscal year. The fulfilment of contracts will mean widespread bankruptcy. They appeal to Britain and America for extensions.
