AT PASSCHENDAELE
CANADA’S CLAIMS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) OTTAWA, August 13. At Kingston (Ontario) General Sir Archibald MacDonnell, defending General Currie against criticisms for undue loss at the capture of Passchendaele, said the Canadian loss was the lowest while the percentage of gains was the highest. The Canadians captured Passchendaele after the Australians, New Zealanders and British had failed.
