PLUNKET HOME

CHRISTCHURCH PROPERTY PURCHASED. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 5. It has been decided by the committee of the Plunket Babies’ Hospital Fund to purchase the Cashmere Hills’ property, and the residence owned by the trustees of the late Colonel Richardson, and now occupied by Mr G. T. Booth. About £IO,OOO has been recently raised by public subscription for the establishment of this hospital. The property was inspected by the Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister for Public Health, who is understood to have given his unqualified approval to the proposal for its acquisition. Dr Truby King also stated that he cordially approves of ib purchase.
