SCHOOL BOTTLE GATHERING
THE RUGBY UNION’S SCHEME. The following returns had been handed in on Saturday morning from the schools. It will be noted that the totals from Marist Bros, and South Schools are missing, hut these schools between them have now over 20,000 bottles in hand. The latter had 14,000 to its credit last Saturday. The competition finally closes next Saturday;— Waihopai School .. 14.020 Middle School 12,538 Waikiwi School .. •• 5.355 North School 3,093 Clifton School . . • • 3,000 St. George School 2,<52 During the week a display of the different sorts of bottles gathered has been made in Mr W. N. Stirling's window.
