DAYLIGHT SAYING
BENEFICIAL EFFECTS IN BRITAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, March 6. The Summer-time Committee recommend the permanent adoption of daylight saving owing to the excellent social and economical benefits. The moral tone has improved owing to the tendency to spend an extra hour in the open air, and there has been a marked decrease in juvenile offences. A vast preponderance of the public favour its permanence.
