A ROAD COMPLAINT.

To the Editor. Sir, —Would you grant me space In your valuable paper to draw the attention of the County Council to the almost impassable state of the road between Buxton's Crossing and the Makarewa Freezing Works. As tit is road is used by a good number of men employed at the Freezing AA’orks, and is the only road by which they can reach their employment, I think it is about time that this part of the road received the attention of ttie Council.- As the road is in such a condition the men find it necessary to carry their bicycles, and the mud is up to their boot-tops. I think it would do no harm if the Engineer and the member for the riding paid this locality a visit at an early date.—X am, etc., FREEZING WORKS! EMPLOYEE. 13th July.
