Following is Mr Bates’ weather summary for the past 24 hours: —Atmospheric pressure has increased in the South, but decreased steadily in the North. Wet and gloomy weather has prevailed with variable winds. Forecast: Present indications arc for cold, cloudy, and unsettled weather, rain probable generally, and snow on the higher levels in the South, variable breezes giving place to fresh south and aouth-easterly winds, and the barometer rising everywhere soon.
