VS THE CAMTSOOKS ADVANCE OF THE FRENCH (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright) PARTS. July 27. The French, after a brilliant engagement, occupied the important town of Rome in the Cameroons. Tho Gorman troops mutinied and deserted. The whole of the Xemon district has risen against the Germans and is demonstrating in favour of the Allies. The Germans are retreating, burning and destroying the villages. The French, vigorously advancing, joined another French column to the north as far as Xoangela.
