6SAUD NATIONAL ACCEPTANCES POSTPONED. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. July 23. In consequence of the interruption of postal communication with the North Island the acceptances for the Grand National Steeplechase, Grand National Hurdle Race and Winter Cup, and the general entries for the Gand National meeting, which were to have closed at 9 p.m., have been postponed till noon tomorrow. bosxkq. THE BLUFF TOURNAMENT. Tiie Bluff Athletic and Boxing Tournament Committee at the eleventh hour have secured an attractive bout to bo presented in connection with the fistic proceedings of this evening, in that a match has been arranged between Joe Ladbury (an ex-flyweight English champion and New Zealand bantam performer) and D. Johnson, who reached the topmost rung of the ladder as a mit artist in Australian Fleet circles. This bout is subject to the arrival of the steamer Wanaka, on which the contestants are employed. The entries for the boxing events at the port number 22.
