THE RABAUL CHARGES
(By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, July 23, Mr Hughes’ report on the Rabaul charges finds that there was no evidence of improper dealing in Red Cross goals, and that there was no reason to doubt the Justice of the sentences passed at Rabaul, which were for breaches of the peace accompanied by physical violence. In one case a Chinaman was robbed byfour members of the military police. The report finds no fault with the Sydney court-martial, and confirms the dismissal of Ravenscroft. It also justifies tho Court’s finding in L. Moore’s case.
