FOXTOX DROWNING CAKE. (Per United Press Association). FOXTOX, May 2. An Inquest was held this morning touching the death of William Teviotdale. The coroner returned a verdict that deceased was drowned while attempting to save the boy Morgan’s life. The deceased was married. 40 years of age. He was in charge of the Xew Zealand Shipping Company’s stores. The coroner commended the action of the young man Guy Edwards, who. went to the rescue of. Teviotdale and Morgpn, and said he would bring his action under the notice of the Royal Humane Society. 3UDDEN DEATH. CHRISTCHURCH, May 2. A married man named Robert Halliburton, aged 6-j. died suddenly on Wednesday morning when dressing. He was seized with a fit of coughing, -and collapsed on the bed. An Inquest was held before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, acting coroner. Dr Westenra, who made a postmortem examination of the body, certified that death was due to hemorrhage of the lungs, and a verdict was returned accordingly,. KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR. DUNEDIN, May 2. Fred Jones, whose parents reside in St. Kilda. was knocked down by a motor car yesterday afternoon. The boy* had been playing amongst the lupines with some other and ran out into the road in front of the car, which could not bo pulled up in time to prevent an accident. The little fellow' was taken to the hospital, where it was found that ..he was bruised about the body, but fortunately not seriously injured. OLD AGE PENSIONER DROWNED. BLENHEIM, May 2. An old age pensioner, George Ellis, was found drowned in the Wairau River yesterday.
