PRESBYTERIAN SYNOD

OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND. (Per United Press Association). DUNEDIN, April 7. The annual meeting of the Presbyterian Synod of Otago and Southland opened to-night. The Kov. Whyte intimated that the Presbytery of Dunedin had made definite arrangements for the incorporation of a board of governors for the Presbyterian Girls’ College with authority to acquire a property and open a college at an early dale. It was unanimously resolved that Synod expresses its satisfaction with the steps taken by the Presbytery of Dunedin, and commends the college to presbyteries and sessions of the church.
