Ltd., report: We held our weekly, auction sale of grain and produce at our stores on Monday, when Values ruled as under: — Oats—There is little change in the market to report. Prime lines of Garlons are in stronger demand, and readily saleable at quotations. The same may he said in a less degree of prime Sparrowbills. Seed lines also have fair inquiry. but medium and inferior qualities are not so easily dealt witii. We quote: Prime milling. Is lOd to Is 101,3 d; good to best feed, is 9d to Is inferior to medium. Is 6d to Is Sd per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat—Tlie market is linn at late values. The demand is chiefly for prime velvet and velvet oar, but all kinds in prime condition are Teadily placed. Fowl wheat is offering more freely, and meets fair demand at quotations. Wc quote; Prime milling velvet. 4s Id to 4s 2d; Tuscan and velvet ear, 4s to Is id: medium. 3s lOd to 3s lid; best whole fowl wheat, 3s Sd to 3s 1(U1; medium. 3s 3d to 3s 6d: broken and damaged, 2s 6d to 3s per bushel (sacks extra).

Potatoes —The bulk of the consignments coming forward lately have been of only fair quality, for which there is moderate demand at £3 17s 6d to £4. To-day's market shows a slight improvement. and choice quality is worth about £4 5s to £4 10s: good, £4 to £4 ss: medium. £3 10s to £3 17s Gd per ton (sacks incl tided). Chaff—The market continues to bo welt supplied, and prices are steady at late quotations. The demand is almost entirely for prime quality, old chaff preferred. Lower grades have not strong inquiry. The estimated Canadian cheese stocks in London. Liverpool and Bristol on April I, 19 14. are 73,000 boxes, against 115.000 at the same datij last year. Hemp—The Manila market continues dull and prices favour buyers. Fair current. £2.1 K‘s to £2-1 15s; April-.lime shipments. £26 ,Is. The output from Manila for this week was 2:’..000 bales, and last week 12.000. The New Zealand market is quiet with small business doing owing to the absence of oilers from the dominion.
