T, McKinnon Wood lias ordered an investigation into Klatcr's sentence owing to fresh doubts by the identifier’s evidence. Sir Conan Doyle in a booklet demanded in August, 1912, an inquiry into the case of Oscar Slater, convicted of murdering Marion Gilchrist, at Glasgow, In December, 1903. lie searchingly analysed the evidence, which ho considered unsatisfactory.
