The Stewart Island County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of thirds for period 1/11/12 to 31/1/18. £4 5s 2d.—Approved, and Receiver authorised to pay over the amount. . CORRESPONDENCE.

B. McGearty applied for a year t* year license over section 2. block IX. Wallacetown, 1 rood, and offered 6a pee annum.—Approved. A. Small offered £2 per acre for tb* freehold of reserve adjoining sectio* 513, Hokonui Dt., 31 acres 16 poles. The Southland County Council applied for part of the reserve for gravel purposes. —Application refused, and land to be offered at auction at upset of £2 per acre. The Commissioner requested the Board to deal with pastoral' run No. 396, the license of which expires 28/2/1914, T. W. Hdie, licensee. —Lease to be renewed for the year at former rental from 1/3/19X4.

J. W. Rooney offered £1 per annum for a grazing right over 20X) acres of open land in Hauroto district, about half a mile inland from the lake. —Approved. H. H. Perrin reauested cancellation of his right to remove gravel from foreshore, Mokomoko Inlet. Hanger Martin reported on part 2 of 19 of 23, block 1. Invercargill Hd„ the lease of which expires 30/4/1913; Mrs Isabel M. Aldred, lessee.— Recommended to be added to the- present school site adjoining. 1 ■ The Stewart Island Tin Wolfram Lodes, Ltd., offered £1 per annum for a five years’ grazing lea.se over 20 acres in block 3, Pegasus Dt., on Dlprose Bay. —Approved. Ranger Mackley reported on the unsold sections south of main street. Town of Tokonui, applied for by Robert Metcalfe. —Land to be classified as rural land, and opened >.o application on optional system. The Commissioner requested th# Board to review the prices and classilW cation of the sections advertised In th« Southland portion of the Land Guide.— Held over till next meeting. J. W. G. Mclntyre applied for a right to cut timber on area marked red in blocks 3 and 22, Longwood Dt. and for extension of time to cut out area marked blue adjoining. Pollock intimated that he intended to wait on the relative to the rental of section block 4, Wendanside District. —Received.
