DISASTER FEARED

Serious anxiety is felt for the steamer Rosedale, which is three days overdue from Nambucca. Steamers are searching. She carries a crew of eighteen, and has about nine passengers aboard. EATEST NEWS. LIST OF CREW AMD PASSENGERS. SYDNEY, Sept. 20. Received Sept, 20, 8.45 p.m. A' passing steamer sighted wreckage consisting of hatches and doors off Smoky Cape, whore the Rosedale was last seen on Friday, just before a southerly gale started. A steamer has been sent to investigate. It is feared that the Rosedale has foundered .with all hands. * The crew was as follows : Captain, Emerson ; chief officer, Ferrlck; second, Davies ; chief steward, Owen; second, Hood ; , cook, Chaafe ; stewardess, Miss Rafferty ; chief engineer, narrower ; second, Speer ; donkeyman, Palmer ; firemen, Kelly, Russell, Nordblom; seamen. .lanson, Dyer, Whalgrem, McDonald, Jack. The passengers were : Messrs Anderson, Duncan. Matammey'; Mesdamea Murphy, Cook, and two or three others, whose names are unknown.
