(Par Uml ted Ftmi Association). AUCKLAND, July 14. A Suva cable states that during the hoisting of an anchor on H.M.S. Powerful a derrick carried away, killing one gailor and wounding ten- others. The Winton Record reports that while driving from his Heddon Bush farm on Saturday evening last, Mr James Hamilton (Riverside) met with a nasty acciient. On turning; into the 1 gateway of his homestead the trap collided with one of the gateposts and capsized. Mr Hamilton was consequently thrown out of the trap, but unfortivnabky -' his -leg was caught in. the .wheel,, andlie was dragged about a hundred yards. Mr Hamilton received a severe shaking, besides sustaining several injuries to his face, head and leg. On- latest enquiries we understand that a rapidrecovery. ** *»- ” A
