The non-inclusion of Aube in the d&» limited champagne area has led to the resignation of numerous municipalities. The red flag has been hoisted in the majority of the villages. PARIS, March 20. Received March 20, 10.30 p.m. Revolutionary meetings have been held in Aube. A thousand armed men carrying grape baskets, in which a box of assessment papers was afterwards burned in the market place, declined to pay taxes and effaced the moto “Liberte, egalite” with red paint from the public buildings. Premier Monls was burned in effigy. The municipal councils of forty towns have resigned.
