The Otago Society wrote with reference to stocking Lakes Gunn and Fci-kus >ivith Loch Leven fry.—H ' was deckled to reply that as both lake*! were in the Otago district the Southland Society sould not take action in the matter. 'The Alataura Angling Club wrote thanking the Society for its gift of 2000 yearling trout. The Minister of Alarlne acknowledged receipt of an application by fishermen for tlie extension of tlie sea trout netting ?ea-ou and advised that tlie matter would tie dealt with when a report was received' from Mr Ayson (Inspector of Fisheries) ■who was making enquiries on the subject. The Collector-of Customs notified that A. Pasco had been granted a permit to export- to Melbourne a couple of trout for" display in the Tourist Office of tlie New Zealand Government. COM At ITTEK'S REPORT. The Stock • Committee reported that from the quantity of ova collected and fry obtained this season it was evident that tliere would be a large surplus over requirements and an effort .should be made to find a market for eyed ova in the Dominion and Australia. They also stated that complimentary licenses had been issued to Air K. Alclvnr (Crummies Bush) and Con-table Phillips (Core). Tliev further recommended that the Alinistef for Internal Affairs should be asked to legislate so as to make it an offence for a fishmonger to have trout in his possession except in the trout netting season.—Report adopted. AIRSCELLANIOOUS. It was decided to call the attention of the Seaward Downs Dairy Factory Company to the pollution of Stewart's Creek uaused hy whey from the factory running into it.
