ACCIDENTS & DEATHS
CONCUSSION OF THE B3AIS,

DUNEDIN, March 16
A distressing accident which ended fatally occurred in Athol Place last evening. Hazel 15. Harrison, agbd eight years, was playing with a number of other children and was running after a little girl when she ran into a lamp post. Site dropped to Hie ground and was curried home. She began to vomit, and Dr Butement found that she was suffering from concussion of the brain. She gradually sank and died shortly before seven o'clock this morning.
FATAL ACCIDENT AT DRUMMOND,
Yesterday afternoon the Drummond correspondent of the Southland Times telephoned that an accident had befallen Charles Pluckier whilst riding home from school on Tuesday. By some means or oilier he fell off his horse and struck the ground in such a way that his neck was broken by the. fall. Death ensued in a few minutes. The lad's parents are very well known throughout the district, and the greatest sympathy Is fell for them.
