At Addlngton yards to-day thoro was another fairly large yarding of stock and a good attendance. Fat Lambs—The entry was somewhat larger than that of last week, and fur all good freezing lambs there was an active demand among freezing buyers. Unfinished lots sold at last week's rates. Tegs 15s Cd to 19s 2d. ordinary freezing weights 13s to 15s 3d, light and unfinished lots 10s to 12s Cd. Eat Sheep—Average yarding, but It was somewhat larger than last week's. Fat Cattle—3os head yarded, and they Included some prime line;; of handy weights. The market opened slack, but bidding improved and prices readied last week's level. The supply being beyond requirements caused an easier tone in tho market. Steers £6 5s to £l2 12s Cd, heifers e5 to £8 17s Cd, cows £4 10s to £7 15s-equal lo 21s to 25a Cd for prime steer beef, 18s 6(1 lo 20s Cd for medium, und lCs Cd to 18a for cow and Inferior per lOOlbs. Pips—A moderate yarding. There was a good demand for fats; but stores were not In keen demand. DUNEDIN. April 29. Sheep—3C9s penned. A heavy yarding of medium quality "with a good proportion uf ewes, the price of which fell from 2s to 2s Cd per head, whilst wethers declined Is to Is Cd. Best wethers 19s Cd to 225. extra to 23s 9d, medium 16a to ISs Cd, inferior 12s Cd to 15s Cd, best ewes 13s to 15s Cd. medium Us to 12s, inferior tip to 10s Cd. Lambs—l 439 penned. A heavy entry. Prices showed a. slight decline on last we.k's. Best 15s to Us fid, extra to 19s, medium 13s to lis I'd. inferior up to 12s. Pigs—l2o yarded. A heavy yarding. Both aeavy and light sorts showed a slight decline on hist week's rates. Suckers 9s to lis, slips lis to ISs, stores 21s to 235. porkers 3Sa to 435, light liaconers 47s to 03s, heavy baconers 55s to 595, choppers to G2s. Cattle—263 yarded, principally good quality buli.icks and heifers. The yardlus was in excess of retirements and a number of pens turned out .tnsold. WAVERLEY TOWNSHIP. SECOND SUCCESSFUL SALE. Seventy-two sections in fifty minutes for JCISIC 10s. That Is a short statement of the results of the Waverley Lund Company's second sale conducted by Mr Joseph Holloway at the Y.M.C.A. Hall last night. In the first sale Mr Holloway is said to have'established a record In land salesmanship, and now he has broken his own record. Waverley Estate has been well advertised. but tho best advertisement it has had was the first sale. The public obviously became attracted, and since then the agents have been kept busy taking up Intending purchasers to inspect, with the result that the second sub-division has been snapped up more eugerly than the Ilrst. The company is convinced that the demand for Waverley sections has not yet been satisfied and has decided to cut up a third block and to offer it I by auction at an early date.
