These players and others in the team will not return to New Zealand from Australia, but will join the others at Sydney, and aftfer playing throe matches in Sydney, leave by the Ortona, instead of by the lonic, as originally intended. At a mooting last evening, it was decided to try to arrange a match bel"JH?u a Wakatipu representative team and a learn representative of Eumsik-n, Dipton, Balfour and Riversuale Clubs, at Lumsdeu on a dale not later than 14th August. The Eastern District Committee notified having closed the pennant matches and awarded the premiership to Albion Club us the highest on points.—Action confirmed. On appeal f?oiu the X.F.C., it was decided to request an explanation from the Athletic Club as to the circumstances of J. Kirwan’s playing against I.F.C. HI., he having qualilied for a higher grade. Tlie Otago Union intimated their willingness to accede to Southland's suggestion that the schools interprovincial match ho played fit Dunedin pn the same day as the senior interprovifncial game, viz., 1-1 th September. Wiuton Club was granted permie-lon to play u game against a South Hillend team (unnfuliated) to-day.
