In the Dominion House Mr Henderson, representing Hal ton electorate, said if he had the opportunity he would cancel preference to tho Motherland. Mr Fisher expressed regret at such a remark, and attributed tit to political hostility. He proceeded to justify his Montreal speech, and added that if Britain imposed a tax on food imported for tho workers, she would interfere with their purchasing power, and ,thus strike a blow at Canadian farmers, and also impair the unity and solidarity of tho Empire.
