Cycling Sports.

There should he some exceptionally good racing at the Cycling Club s sports to take place in the Queen’s Park on Wednesday afternoon- At present there is an unusually largo number of cyclists racing in Southland, and as large orders have been received from Winton, OrepuUi, Core, Waikaia, and Mataura [or applications, good entries are assured from local .■■ources. Apart from these the following outside entries have already been received :—J. Chalmers (Christchurch), J. O'Brien (Roxburgh), George Patterson (Alexander South), H. F. Christie (bumsden), A. P. Fleming (Taieri), J. W. Waldie and R. Rogers (Timaru). The entries for both cycling and running events dose with the secretary in the Club Rooms, Don street, this evening, and as competitors usually leave the entries until the last day, a record number of competitors is confidently anticipated.
