Its opponents confidently predict its defeat in the Upper House. PERTH, Oct. 6. Tn the State Assembly the Premier announced that he had been granted a dissolution. Mr Rason said ho rode for.a fall, hoping the appeal to the country would transform his present minority into a majority. MELBOURNE, Oct. 6
In the Federal House Mr Carpenter gave notice of motion in favour of devoting all money available to naval defence and the establishment of an Australian navy.
