Mr Watson says the Labour party will be glad to welcome the proposed British Labour deputation, but the proposal seems mainly in respect to preferential trade, whereon he does not anticipate any likelihood of their', securing unanimity amongst the Labour people of Australia. ‘ However, there are many other .questions they will be glad to discuss and arrive at an understanding upon. ADELAIDE, Sept. 4.
Premier Price declared that the delegation would be cordially tvclcomed, but Australia was not going to be sacrificed ,to any tariff bungling by Britain. The Governor’s report practically advocates the employment of coloured labour in the Northern Territory, and he considers- that development otherwise will not be possible.
