Clearing Sale

Messrs I. IV. Raymond anil Co. report having hold a most successful clearing sale of live and dead slock at Mrs A. Hunter’s farm, Green Hill, South Wyndham, on Wednesday last. Tho day being beautifully fine, there was a largo assemblage of buyers present. The stock, being well-bred and in good condition, was eagerly competed for, and everything was sold at very satisfactory prices. Following is a summary of sales made S&feep—TOO 2-tooth ewes 265, 120 6tooth Romney Marsh ewes 25s C-d, 170 4,6, and 8-tooth ewes 21s, 157 store lambs 15s 3d, 15 fat wethers IPs 9d, 19 cull lambs 12s 9d, 30 fm. mqes 17s. Cattle—7 Hereford cows with calves £7 7s 6d, 2 dry Hereford cows £5 15s, 8 crossbred cows with calves £4 7s 6d, 15 yearlings £2 117 s, 2 heifers in calf £-4 14s 6d, Hereford bull £6, 2 dairy cows £5 and £5 15s, 3 calves *ss.

Horses—Bay gelding £34, 4yr-old mare £46 10s, syr-old mare £46 10s, 3yr 'gelding harness mare £-20, 2 hacks £lB and £l6, aged marc £9 3 os, bay draught filly £2l, draught colt £lB Us, light yearling colt £9 10s, aged ma.re and foal £9.

Implements —Drill, £l5, df. plough £l2, digger plough £7 r >lkr £l2 10s, dray £B, do £l2 1.65, binder £6, d.s. buggy £2O 10s. Other {implements, harness, etc., sold at full market rates. Also, on account Messrs Hunter Bros., flaxmillers, their team of working draughts, which met a keen demand.
