CANADA WHOLEHEARTED.

Mr Mulock, Postmaster-Oen«ral. speaking at an Empire ' League meeting >ia Ottawa, said Canadians unitedly support the resolutions of the Colonial Premiers' Conference, and are ready to welcome reciprocity as between Canada nml the Motherland and other parts of the Knipire on satisfactory terms to the lOmpire. Canada considers thut in-ter-lmperial trade Is an actual and pressing necessity, and that preferential tariffs, and preferential tariffs alone will preserve the Empire. When opinion in Hritain is sufficiently crystallised to permit of negotiation of terms the Canadians will be quick to respond.
vSlr Mackenzie Uowell, while agreeing with Mr Mulock's remarks, hoped the Dominion Parliament, like that of Manitoba, would endorse Mr Chauiberl«in'»
scheme.
At the instance of Mr J. J. Turte. exMinisler of Public Works, the meeting unanimously affirmed Canadian support of Imperial preference. '
