Scheps shot out in the last lap and won by 15 yurds. Forl.es (N.Z.) who injured a leg during the wc-pk gave up in the second hip. Time —4 jnin. 27 sees. Scheps also won the Victorian mile from Walker in 2 mm, 14 l-3th sees.
