Mean-time they arc holding meetings and obtaining legal advice before coming to t \ decision. A rumour is current that, in l ho event pf a strike, the Newcastle coal miners have arranged not to bew coal for the Victorian railways. It is also stated that substantial assistance is promised by the inter-State railway men's unions. MELBOURNE, April 3<>. Received Ist. 12.2 a.m. Matters in ilu» railway men's trouble are unchanged. The men have held several meetings, but observe the strictest reticence, and it will probably be> Saturday morning before their decision is known. Much uneasiness is felt in all the States at the possibility of tho railways being thrown idle.
