School Committed Elections.

Fifteen householders attended i.Ue m«eting, the chairman of the committee, Mr ,1." S. Baxter, presiding. The annual report, which" was unanimously adopted, stated, inter aim, that the roll number had been 1110, and the average attendance 275. tjeing the same ns in the previous year ; that Mr Stenhouse had conducted a carpentry class, and that Miss Dryburgh intends to teach the girls cookery ; that it is proposed to start a cadet corps ; that physical drill, etc., was receiving a little attention, but tuitiou for half an hour per week c^n hardly I** expected to produce any results worth mentioning. The committee's receipts from nil sources had been JCH'\ 17h 8d and their expenditure £80 14s Uil.
Tho following ronuuittee was elected :— Messrs .1. S, Baxter (chairman), S. Rabbidge (secretary), J. A. Mitchell, W. Spite, J. Wildermoth, J. A. McGregor, .F. Mien. A. Masters, and T. A. Wallace. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring oflice-bearers, the head teacher and staff.
