Correspondence recently took place between the N.Z. (."bvermiient and the Imperial authorities with regard to admission to practice of N.Z. barristers and solicitors i» England. The Premier hasnow received information thait Mr Chamberlain had laid before the Incorporated Law Society the suggestion of the N.Z. l.u.w Society that, in view of the (act that services under articles isnot compulsory in Now ZenlnAd, tbo rej quirements would ho met if candidates for admission to the English bar were required to produce a certificate from a
Judge of the Supreme Court that any candidate, before commending practice in N.Z., . had been engaged exclusively in acquiring a practical knowledge of the law for a period not less than three yenrs under n practising barrister. This
