(Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, Oct. 29. Fat Cattle-172 yarded, mostly good to prime beef; best ruling from 35s to 37s 64 per 1001 b, others 32s fid to 34s 6d. Prime steers £ll to £l4 2s 6d, others £7 to £lO 10s, heifers £7 to £lO 7s fid, prime cows £9 to £ll 10s, others £5 5s to £B. - Store Cattle—2so yarded. Yearlings 20s to 27s 7d, 15 to 18 months £3 to £3 17s 6d, 2-vear steers £5 10s to £5 Ils, heifers £4 10s to £4l7s 6d, 3-year steers £6 10s to £7 ss, heifers £5 12s, dry cows £llss to £4, dairy do £4 to £9 ss. Fat Sheep—s2oo penned, including a few prime heavy wethers and ewes. Many freezing lines lacked finish. Prime heavy eheep brought last week’s .quotations, but. freezers showed an advance, considering the Duality, and butchers’ sheep sold well.

fid. beet shorn wethers 17s to 21s 3d and to 24a for extn, lighter 15s to 16s fid, prime heavy ewee 20s to 245, good -16 s to 19s 6d, others 10s lOd to 15s fid, best shorn (to 14s to 19s fid, others Ils to 13s 6d, hoggets 15s fid to 19s, merino wethers 15s to 21s 6d.

Lambs—Best 16s to 17s 2d, for freezing to 20s 6d for extra, and 9s 6d to 14s 6d for inferior. Store Sheep—936 yarded, mostly wethers, which sold well, woollies making 16s lOd, shorn 14s Id, ewes and lambs 7s to 8s lOd, and hoggets 9s 2d. Pigs—293 yarded ; a strong demand and advance in prices for all sorts. Bacotims 45s to 70s—equal to 5d to 5Jd per lb, porkers 28s to 40s—(id to 6 Jd, large stores 18s to 25s fid, smaller 12s 6d to 17s fid, suckers and weanors 6s to 12s.
