NEW ZEALAND NOTES.
[Per United Press Association.] Dunedin, Feb. 14. Captain Jackson has taken over the command of the South Island battalion of the 9th N.£ The health of the men is good and they are well satisfied with their quarters and rations. From a telegram received from the Premier it would appear that the southern section of the contingent will be despatched from Dunedin during the first week in March.
