Reuter's Tientsin correspondent states that a c edible Chinese source asserts that the Emperor has agreed to an indemnity of seven hundred million taels, payable in sixty years, and guaranteed on thelikin revenues ; the erection, of a monument to the late Baron Ketteler at Pekin ; an Imperial Prince to visit Berlin and express regret for the murder ; the Powers to bold the lines between Taku and Pekin ; that they also punish Boxers and officials, candidates from districts where foreigners were maltreated to be forbidden to compete in examinations for official appointments for five years ; the Tsuag-Li- Yamen to be abolished ; foreign Ministers to always have access to the Emperor ; importation of arms to be stopped; and land and sea forts between Shankaikwan, Taku and Pekin to be abolished.
