The steamer Wakanui sailed for Wellington at 9 a.m yesterday. Every effort is being made to complete the loading of the Longships this evening. [By Telegraph.] Wklmngtox, Nov. 2. The barque Star of the East, from New York, had a most tempestuous passage, the decks beta? continually floodtd during the run from the Cape. At the heads the tug'a tow line parted and the barque drifted to within 50 yards of Barretts Keef, btiog brought up by her anchor. The crew arrived in an exhausted condition.
