[By Telegraph]. Dcjnedin, Nov. 1. The question of union with the Northern Church on the proposed basis was discussed by a Synod of 125 members this morning. Mr Gibb moved the resolution in favour of union and Mr Bannerman an adverse resolution. Mr Gibb's motion was adopted by a majority of 82. The voting was, for Mr Gibb's motion — ministers, 59 ; elders, 44 ; Mr Bannerman's motion — ministers, 5 ; elders, 10.
