The Essex County eleven are Owen, Kortwright, Bull, Lucas, Mead, Rickett, Carpenter, Bawtry, R\issell, McGahoy and Perry. The attendance is good, the wr ather splendid, and the wicket lively. Giffun took 3 wickets, Trumble 4 and Jonea & McKibbin was not tried. The fielding of the Australians showed improvement. Gregory played freely.but the others showed uaution, Meade's bowling being dangerous.
