Competition was fairly animated. Pigs— Suckers brought 03 (id to 5s 9d ; Blips, 1.1; to 14s; stores, 15s to 20s; porker?, 215t0275; baconers, 30s Gd to 37s : a few extra heavy to 50s. Sheepskins — Competition was keen. R-ibbitskins — A biisk demand exists, and the market is firm. Consignments aie small, but all offered are keenly competed for. Tallow. — A very fair demand is experienced, and prices continue firm. For best rendered mutton, 10s to 20s; medium to good, lGs to ISs (Jd ; inferior to medium, 13s to 15s ; best caul fat, 12s Gd to 13s ; inferior to medium and gcod, ()s to 12s per cwt. Wheat has s-.hown but little animation, and as supplies still come forward freely, with 110 inducement to shippers to operate, and millers only purchasing sparingly, there is no immediate prospect of any improvement ; even the small business passing is at reduced rates. For best Tuscan and velvet, 3s Sd to 3s lOd ; good to best, 3s 4d to 3s 7d; medium (nominal), 3s to 3s 3d ; inferior, 2s to 2s 0d (ex store, sacks weighed in, terms). Oats--The marker is very steady and firm, and all offering find a ready sale. Bright milling and heavy plump feed are most in favour 1 . Long Tartarians, also well-grown Danish are beginning to have some attention ; but discoloured and damp do not command much notice, except at very much reduced prices. Shippers and millers are purchasing more freely, it being now pretty well understood that the quantity to hand and yet to come forward will be a long way short compared with last season.-: supply.
