The United Farmers Agency Co (Ltp.) report having held their monthly stock sale at Winton on the .3th inst. when their entry comprised over '2000 sheep and lambs, nearly all of which were sold at prices ranuung from l-4s 2d for 250 prime forward-conditioned wethers to 13s 3d for medium (juility ; ewes ranged from 12s 6\l to Ss for fair breeding sorts; !aml)3 from lls to 7s, and nil other lots at quotations. We held a stock sale at Pipton yards on the 10th inst., when only a limited number were yarded and these in many instanc-'a were small and old ; the lambs with few exceptions were small. The sale as a whole went dull but most of the stock changed hand?. We sold breeding ewes at Ss lOi.l to 3s Oil ; lambs at 5s to 8s ; cows from L 3 10s to L 2 and fat cattle at L 3 ~>s to Li for small sorts. We also h"ld our monthly stock sale at Thonibury on Wednesday when there was a good entry of sheep anil a large entry of cattle including many forward-conditioned steers which sold at from Lo 2s 6d to L 4 I'M for turoip fesding. Young sound sheep sold at full value and the same remiivks apply t<> good !a;nl)s, but old ewes are mill dull of sale. Beit wethe:-3 brought up to 15s 3d; medium to 13s Gd ; ewes (fat) to 12s 6d, and lambs from 4s to ] Is 3d. Horse market — On Saturday we had a good entry and prices were better than those ruling for some time. Best draught geldings reached L2o, and strong upstanding light harness sorts up to LIT at which price we placed two from Morton Mains. Medium hacks range from LS to Ll2. There is inquiry for good draught sorts for farm work.
