MELBOURNE, May 22. Received 22nd, 8 p.m. A run on the Melbourne Savings Bank has caused some sensation, but the movement has abated. Th.c Premier announced that fche run was unwarranted. Received 23rd, 1.40 a.m. The employes of Chaffey Brothers at the irrigation settlements have struck for an eight hours day and the Union rate of pay. Mr Munro moved a vote of want of confidence in the Government as an amendment to the Address-in-Reyly. The House adjourned until Tuesday.
