[By Tkleoraph. ] Dtoedin, Och29. At the meeting of the Presbyterian Synod to. day it was decided to hold a public meeting in the interest of missions on Thursday. The report on the State of Religion was brought up and gave rise to a very long discussion and many diverse opinions. Aa an aid to family worship the Rev. Mr Adams suggested the preparation of a prayer book, and qtbers who referred to tbjs, approved of the snggestian. The 1 report, which recommended a week of prayer and the appointment of evangelistic deputies, was. adopted. A committee was appointed to, dra.w up an address to the Governor,
