A number of pens had to be withdrawn to be held over lor future disposal. Fat Sheep — A very moderate supplj was penned to-day, viz , 1693, consisting oC V2i ioerino wethers (fair to good), the balance crossbreds of mnoinm quality, only s few penj being prime. The sales opened at about last week's quotations, but towards the close competition was more active, the I prices reali&ed ehowiug a slight advance. Best crossbred wethers brought 8s 9d to 10a 3d ; ordinary, 7e to 8b 6d ; best do ewe* 1 , 7s 9d to 9s 9d; orumary, 6s to 7a 6d ; meriEo wetherp, 4s tid to 6s tJd. Wheat — The position of the market with legarci to prices for milling is much about th ; same at last *-eek. Fowl wh c at is scarce, and in large demand at au advance.
