[By Telegraph. J Auckland, Nov. 13. Arrived — The Island mail steamer Janet Nicoll, with a cargo of oranges and other fruits. She brings news of native out rages on board the Auckland schooner Jeesie Nicholl. On August 24tb, while she was at anchor in Raratonga harbour, at 11 p m,. some of the natives hoarded ihe Bchoonar and began to annoy the crew. The cook, who was on shore with the son of the captain, was the first attacked. He was rendered unconscious by a blow on the head, and brutally kicked. Captain Short p.nd the crew rushed on deck, but being without weapons) and greatly outnumbered, were separated snd all badly maltreated, Makoa Toua, King oi Atiu,

and the consort of Queen Makea of Rara- ' tonga, waa with the natives and incited them to outrage, shouting "Kill the white pigs." This King visited Auckland last year and was entertained at the Government expense. After doing a lor; of d amage and purloining some storeja, the natives , went ashore and had a feast. -Complaint was made to the British Consul at Raratonga, who fined Makea Toua 200 dollars, and ordered him to find substitutes for several injured men who had been left ashore. The cook's condition was so critical that his depositions were taken, but he has since recovered. H.M.S. Pelican has visited the group and compelled the payment of a fine. They aleo exacted a fine of 300 dollars from the natives of the Miliads lahmd,who laßt August committed an outrage on the captain of an Auckland schooner at Lambic by tying him to a tree. Captain Short's narrative has not been obtained, but the Jessie Nicoll ia expected to arrive at Auckland very shortly. When the steamer left Tahiti Earl Dudley's steam yacht was there en routeioe Auck--1 land, Wellington, and Sydney ; also Dr Philps' schooner yacht Brenhilda, which is expected to visit this colony.
