An interesting match was played on Saturday afternoon on the 1.C.0. ground, between an eleven of that Club and the team of Wanderers, who are about to pro« ceed to Dunedin. The I.C.Q. were the first at the wickets, and ran ( up the respectable score of 138 before they were disposed of. Nash played a fine innings, gWing only one possible chance. Howorth, Buchanan, and Martin each played well. In bowling for the Wanderers, Thompson was most successful) taking five wickets for 26 runsj and Dalrymple four for 38 runs. The Wanderers then faced the bowling of Kingsland and Martin, but the former was well On the spot, taking six wickets for 24 runs. They only managed to put together 65 runs. Dalrymple was the only player who got into double figures. .The Wanderers followed on their innings, and lost one wicket for 11 runs when time was called. The full scores are as follows:—
