Limited), reports for the week ended 15th July, M follows:— Vat Cattle— lß6 head were yarded for the Week's requirements, about one-half of which were good to prime, and the balance light and & medium quality. Competition at the com* mencement was dull, but as the sales progressed bidding became more animated, and the prices zealieed ranged about the same as last week's. B-'St bullocks brought £8 10s to £9 17s 6d ; others, £5 to £7 los; cows, £3 10s to £6 Ids. We quote prime beef at 20s ; ordinary, 15s to 17b 6d. Fat Sheep— 2297 were penned, including 780 merino wethers ; the balancs crossbreds, nearly all fair to good quality: Their number being no more than sufficient for requirements, competition was fairly active and last week's prices were fully maintained. Best crossbred wethers brought 18s 6d to 14s 6d ; one pen of IBonthdowns brought 163 9d ; crossbred ewes and mixed, 9s 6d to 13s ; merino wethers, 6s Gd to 8s 6d. We quote mutton at 2sd per lb. Wheat— The market during the week has been remarkably quiet, the principal demand having been for the lower sorts, which meet a ready sale. Extra prime milling is worth 3s Id to 3s 2d; good milling, 2s lOi to 3s; medium to good, 2s -8d to 2s 9d ; inferior and damp, Is 6d to2s2d. Oate— With, better facilities for shipping prices are hardening, especially for prime parcels. Best milling is worth Is 9d to Is 9£d —is lOd is wanted ; good feed, Is 8d to Is B£d; long and Danish, Is 6d to Is Bd. Barley— With the exception of small parcels for feed or millIng no sales of consequence have been effectedOne lot of milling has been sold for export at 2s Id } feed and milling sell at 2s to 2s 3d. Grass eeeds command more attention, and as the mar- - ket is now prices are firmer.
