REUTER'S TELEGRAMS. LONDON, July 21. It has transpired that Earl D^rby, Sjcrutary of State for tbe Colonies, will accord Tawhaio aa oflicial reception at the Colonial Office to-morrow (Tuesday}. The homeward mails via Suez and Brindisi, per steamship Potoai, from Melbourne (June 12) were delivered hero today. A popular demonstration in support of the Franchise Reform movement was held in Uyde Park to-day, and was attended by an enormous crowd of people, the number bting estimated at 100,000. The approaches to the Park were blocked, and the streets in the west end were impassable for hours, but no difficulty was experienced in the maintenance of order. The market rate of discount has fallen to I|, and is now £ below bank rate. PARIS, July 21. Eight deaths from cholera occurred in this city to-day. The spread of the disease is causing considerable alarm. (SPECIAL TO PRESS ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, July 21.
